Run imovie on the 3gs for 20 minutes i bet your battery will be half lol, the processor and ram will be under a heavy load, -
Dude i made 2 movies In like 20-30 min and battery lost almost 10%.
-
Not yet but their most likely will be in the future their is a article about iPhone 4 already being jailbroken on this site :)
-
not yet! gotta wait for the new hacking tool
-
Exactly what program do I need and use to edit my iMovie ipa file?
-
There a Tutorial on getting it to work then?
-
Check out ipodrobot plist editor.

Works great! -
After you extract the IPA of course. To do this rename the extension from ipa to zip, extract the files, make the modifications, rezip, then rename back to ipa.

Is there any way to jailbreak my iphone 3gs with ios 4, old bootrom, but has never been jailbroken before, yet?
-
this reminds me of similar questions when people asked how an iphone 2g could not do picture messaging and the answer for that question is the same as this one....money! apple knows that if they say the old one cannot handle the software that a lot of people that did not consider upgrading before might now upgrade, and guess what, most of them did or will, as they learned from their sales of 2g and 3g and 3gs.
-
like he said, its all about money!
They excluded support for 3GS to boost sales of the new phone and try to get the message of a new revolutionary item across to the audience.M A R K E T I N G !

does not work on my 3.1.3 3gs :(
any ideas why ? -
is there a specific way to re-zip the file, as i tried that using win-rar zip format, but it didnt pick it up as a vaild .ipa file
thanks
-
This freaking app will not work properly with your precious iPhone 3G S, The existing hardware will not be capable to handle the amount of data required for this iMovie thing.
Still not going to work, it's been made only for iPhone 4>>>
Even though you get the IOS 4 (latest iPhone update)Sadly:(
-
are you blind this whoile post is about how someone has got it working on a 3gs so get yuor facts right
akakig: needs to be ios4 to work buddy -
Ok, i have been using iMovie for the last couple of days on my iphone 3GS and it works great. The only thing that doesn't work is when trying to export size to Large - 540p or HD - 720p but import a video, edit and everything else works great. They need to add more themes though
If you wanna know where i got it, try install0us :)
-
@ SALVADOREAN...That is absolutely false. It runs just like it should. Know your facts before you post
-
I edited my imovies.ipa file and whenever i tap on it to open on my 3.1.2 3gs, it opens then quickly exits. Any ideas why and how i could get it to work?
-
Thanks guys,
i dont want to update my os yet :)))) -
I used WinRAR version 3.70 with no problem. I am trying to make iMovie work on my 3G, it installed fine, but then crashed on launch. :(
-
Depends on your current iOS, if you are on 3.1.2, with baseband 05.11.07 or earlier you can jailbreak with pwnagetool 3.1.5, then upgrade to iOS4 with pwnagetool 4.01
-
Same problem but on my 3G with 3.1.2, i thought it was from not having video recording capabilities, but if you're having the same problem on a 3GS, I guess it isn't
-
It won't work on iPhone OS 3.1.2. You will need iOS 4.
-
Unfortunately a guide would violate Apples DRM
-
Can't hurt to try though, I was motivated by the following from the article
"
He claims that changing the minimum system version to 3.0.0 should make it compatible with the older iOS versions.
" -
**** :)
-
There is no reason beyond Apple limitations why it should not work. Video editing software with similar functions has been on cell phones for around 5 years and 3gs has far better hardware than that
-
Can some kind soul email me instructions on how to do this, please??? My email is c5c6i at yahoo.com Thx!!!
