I'm in Austin TX for a business trip and the 3G here has gotten me up to 4.5mbps down and over 1mbps up. Wow! Hopefully AT&T upgraded their networks at home in San Francisco and other major cities as well!

Does everyone really think verizon/sprint/tmobile would have done any better if they iphone came exclusively to them from the iphone 1st gen? it would have been the same exact thing on a different carrier. once att loses exclusivity, apple should just keep it open to everyone and we'll see from there who really has the best service.

I live in boise Idaho, I get about one dropped call a month. I usually have all bars or maybe minus one. But hardly have problems with the phone. But I don't think its that iphone crowded here
