-
Is it still unsafe if i'm using my paypal account to buy apps?
-
Bad luck is still following steve (Apple)
-
That would explain why I haven't been able to login to my account or reset to the email address.
-
WHY?, its Apple the only company that has hackers issues?, is "hackers" new story?
-
I just checked out the all match Mentioned above. Freaking $95.00 for a matching game?
And the developer couldn't even get their grammar right!
What kinds of crap are they approving these days!!! -
My account was hacked last week and they downloaded international calling apps. I changed the password and it has been fine since. I do believe this is more widespread than they are letting on.
-
Sounds like people are using easy to guess passwords and or not running any kind of anti virus at all.... Or hitting up keygen sites.
-
Wow this is bad. Good thing i dnt have my parent's cards on itunes.
-
I have all of $0.70 on iTunes now.
I have all of the apps that I need. -
I noticed a bunch of apps from a developer in the pandorabox app that had their price reduced from $99 to free. It looked fishy so I stayed away from him and blocked this developer. It could be a hack, or as simple as a bait and switch. A free app and then an outrageous update cost that goes unnoticed until it is too late. A hidden "in app" purchase and probably several other vehicles that I am not creative (or crooked) enough to come up with. We always have to keep in mind that the app store is still a little like the wild west, and though a virus is less likely than on the Internet at large, a scam is still possible. Based on this article I plan on changing my password and taking a closer look at the "free" apps I download from now on.

Same thing happened to me, I was using my paypal debit card and itune support said there is nothing they can do I should get back to my bank to revert charges then they will investigate, I haven't been able to use my appstore $40 dollars in charges mostly songs and full albums have been purchased, I believe it happened through twitter with a phishing link... need to go back and delete everything for apple that I have been following .... I thought it would be more secure if I've reported my card stolen and changed my password which I did.

Crap like this forced me to jailbreak my iPhone and use ****.

it happened to me too but how do i check how much they spent?
-
Last month, somehow 750 dollars or so were charged for honors points to a game called World at War. I never even had the app! Had to cancel my card and take care of it thru my bank. What a giant PITA.

**** man !!!!!
I'm going to get rid of my iTunes account, I ain't going to pay for anyone else bs, apologize my speech but, got to b explicit when I am off my track, seriously this is going to be a big
Loss for iTunes cuz I'm always buying and recomending iPhone app crap to all my buddies and don't want then to go through any issues about this new sshot, x q z my language anyway, wish good luck to apple empire! -
My iTunes account was hacked today for an amount of $126 total of just apps, I tried to get ahold of someone in Apple for Customer Service and they do not have a live person to help you, all they tell you to do is to go to apple.com/support and write them a fricken email & maybe in 48 hrs you might get a worthless respond and not get your money back. My thought is why does a million dollar company only have live people to answer your call for sales and not for actual customer/billing services? WTF? And the funny thing is that I didn't even have an IPOD at the time HA! I wanna get to the bottom of this, and get something done about it, Apple already lost a customer with me and I'M SURE there will be more to come with this issue!

I too found charges on July 11 and i called and they said that they could do nothing I needed to send an email. They couldn't even tell me if my debit card info was taken off. I called my bank to close the card and filed a polic report. It took a week for Apple to reset my password so that I could access my account again. There has to be something more that can be done. Even now Apple is not warning their consumers of the fact that accounts are being hacked. They should be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof in this case.

I got hacked too. Almost 500 bucks. Mostly game cheats and a few songs. Now just using itunes gift cards and removed my debit card from the account.

Cancel your PayPal Account!!! I just got hacked by itunes, via PayPal (and I had PP buyer credit in place), which took out from my bank account yesterday, 19 August for 3558.00!!! This is such BS! I don't know who I hate most right now, Apple or PayPal. I just know that I'm going to spend the entire weekend tweeting, blogging and posting this story everyplace I can. Oh and by the way, Piss poor customer support from both Apple and PayPal. At least my bank was cool.
-
I posted above - 19 August 2010, 3550.00 of charges posted to my PayPal account by ITunes. I wasn't too worried at first because my form of payment was paypal buyer credit, which I pay monthly like a credit card, but somehow the ITunes purchases bypassed that completely and took the charges directly out of my account! And I have received NO help from either Apple or PayPal. My bank has reversed the charges. I cannot cancel PayPal because "charges are pending" for that account (good luck with that PayPal)! BTW, none of the apps were synched to my computer but were downloaded directly from my Ipod Touch. So how does that hack work? Starting to sound like an inside job to me!

thx :) i'll se wat i can do.

I programmed my ex's iPhone as the pink one on my youtube channel, www.youtube.com/JLeeSmith69 and today I realized that when she goes to the app store and tries to update her apps it works fine individually, but when u try to update all of them at once, it brings up someone else's log in name for itunes, shanek@gmail.com. So beware everyone and please check to see if u guys are havin any issues like that, she never uses any cards to pay with just cuz of that issue. I will redo her iPhone tomorrow and update it and jailbreak it again
