stay away from 4.1 as a general user if u have jb and unlocked iphone otherwise Geo will be mad again :(
-
there goes the neighborhood. now i gotta wait forever for a jailbreak for my 3gs
-
Wonder if this will affect the baseband the dev team recently unlocked. Hmmm
-
The GEO jokes are never going to get old...
-
Yes that's why if you have an iPhone 4 you will need to back up your SHSH blobs. And everyone should stay away from updating.
-
Hope they beef up the volume back to 3GS levels in this update whilst they're at it..
-
The saga continues. I really felt like "at least my" iPhone 4 works as good as my 3GS. Still doesn't explain the dropped calls so many people report. I guess it's good dev team is holding off releasing the Jb and unlock. It's odd that Apple went to 4.1 and not 4.0.1.

Do me a favour? Does your iPhone 4 have lower iPod output volume levels compared to your 3GS??
-
really my iphone is much louder and clearer than my 3gs
-
is the Game Center back? i dont have it on my iphone 4
-
hahah new update didn't do anything

To fix the proximity sensor problem go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
This really worked for me, I had a terrible problem.
-
Bizarre, I've compared my GS to two iPhone 4s playing songs on the iPod simultaneously, and my GS drowns them out. Hmm ok, maybe they're duff units, not sure what's going on there?!

Does your camera roll go crazy as well?
Do you get black wonky squares where a pic should be in your roll at all? -
So are they fixin the problem or manipulating it to make it look fixed? We will never know.

"Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should" This statement is a joke right ? i mean do they really think we are going to go along with this explanation .... I think they are juste putting the mistake on their formula to avoid having to call thousands of iphone 4 back ..... my iphone is on 4.0 and display the same amount of bar my other phones are showing , and i really do not think their formula is wrong as well.... any way maybe i'm a wrong and the update will change something after all , lets hope it will.

Hope they make iPhone 3G a little less buggy!!!!!!

My iPhone 4 is much louder than my 3GS. I really think my 4 has the antenna issue. It's just odd that I haven't noticed it so much. Perhaps it's how I hold the thing. It is shaped different and I never really thought if felt that comfortable to do the death grip. I have an AT&T MicroCell now and if I squeeze it really good I can go from 5 bars to 1 bar. Interestingly if I ping addresses on the internet via the MicroCell 3G, I totally get Response Timed Out almost instantly... this Firmware patch isn't going to make things better :(
-
you may want to go into your ipod settings, and make sure the volume limit isn't turned on

I watched the video of the test being done and I have two things wrong with it. The bars dropped but he was still connected to the network? Can we see somebody in a convo live and touching those spots and I want to see the call drop just from lack of service.
-
hold up man...in this video this cat has numbers next to first icons on his homescreen...plus has empty bars as well. Why does his phone look jailbroken? and if it's jailbroken and upgraded to beta wouldn't that mean that he flashed his phone back to original firmware to jailbreak it? I don't know...looks super fishy.
-
the vid is on iOS 4.1 BETA (for developers), thats why it looks a lil' wierd, it's from a credible source.
-
I know I have a developer login, but not testing it. I tested IOS 4 Beat 1-4 before Iphone 4 came out and I've never seen that on the screen before. So things just all of a sudden changed? That's all I'm saying...If it wasn't for the fact of JB I would just install it. But don't feel like rolling back and so forth using SSID.
-
Thanks, did that, everything is maxed out, even the guy in store didn't have an explanation for it :(
-
does this affect UK users as bad as AT&T??
-
Ok we don't update cause of Jailbreak and Unlock, no problem, information received, but hrmm by the way , is there a jailbreak ? or are you talking for the 5 people playing and saying to everybody they found millions of ways to jailbreak it and don't release anything ?
But that's ok i won't update and for now stay with my 4.0 not udpated not jailbroken iPhone4 with a beautiful case at least. -
cnet did a good test with an actual call.
