I wonder if this will be any better than the native app that comes installed on the 3GS/IP4.

My thing is I understand the gps but on a treadmill? Fishy
-
It uses the accelerometer on the treadmill.

Any recommendations on armband or do you use something else?

This is really great because it syncs your runs to the Nike + website so after your run there is no need to sync to your computer...
However there is no real built in GPS in the iPhone 4...
If you run in an area that has spotty coverage then you may has well use the one that came with your phone...I'd love to use this on my original phone with sensor.

The best armband I have owned so far is the Aerosport, by Griffin. It is very streamlined, and fits your arm verywell. http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/aerosport-iphone4

What the hell are you talking about "no real built in GPS in the iPhone 4"? Are you implying the phone only uses cellular triangulation to pinpoint users? Get educated before posting.

Go into the woods put the phone in airplane mode now try using google maps or so called GPS.....

Here you go J

The GPS works fine with any app that already has the maps built into the program. Of course it won't work with Google maps since it has no network connection.

i feel like human is becoming the dog now
-
sounds cool...i wanna give it a try

Great! Let's run and draw ;)
-
Am I supposed to be able to read or click something? The reason it doesn't work is because it relies on data connection to draw the actual map you moron. Standalone GPS devices do not draw maps pulled from their signal - they already exist and coordinates simply tell them where you are.
Get educated before you post something - even more before you try and rebut something.

Has anyone tried the app suing rollerblades or cycling..

Great app! but is anyone else having issues with the app displaying pace? it only gives me avg pace at the end of the run.
