Yes finally finally finally.
Oh yeah first!!!
-
Coooolllll, needed badly....
-
It's surprising that I've been able to do this on my blackberry for years and the iPhone is just releasing it... you'd thing such a media based device would have had this years ago as well. I hate my blackberry, so I'm very excited about this!
-
still have yet to use a bluetooth headset with my iphone, but with this new feature i might just buy one for it
-
Don't be fooled again by Steve Jobs,Hes not to reliable as far I can see.Hes more of a control freak like Bill Gates,LOL funny they go hand in hand hahahahaha
-
PS3 remote?
-
a little underwhelmed....i'm still waiting for bluetooth file transfer...or maybe even sync...which i could do with my 256-color-screen sony-eriksson almost 10 years ago...
-
george hotz will be happy lol
-
It's about time!!!
-
will SONY add this profile to their PS3, that would be an app i would pay for, If they can!

Bluetooth sync? either you are insane or have a whole lot of free time on your hands. USB and wi-fi sync are slow enough. I don't have the free time to sync via bluetooth.
-
I pair my iPhone 4 to my in car GPS. The GPS has voice dial and can sync with ur txt msgs but it says my Phone didn't support it do u think they'll add theses
-
Was waiting for this. Finally it's here. Ridiculous it took them 3 yrs.
-
-
i wonder. Even the smallest nokia can do that. They come up with what has been existing and expect us to be happy with it. These stuffs has been in existence since year 2000. This is 2010 for christ sake. iPhone is seriously lagging behind.
-
Confirmed working with a 3GS running 4.1 GM and paired with Nokia BH-214.
-
Better then sticking with your 256-color-screen sony-eriksson. Don't buy new phones which lack functions that are so important to you.
-
Nice,
Now i can finally use it to itd fullest on my car stereo
...Ow wait, i have no BT on my car stereo :/ (i Wish i had)
But nice the added it, you can think about it in next purchases of equipment, having BT in it :D -
Finally! And I bought MusicControl Cydia App because of this.... Must say it worked flawlessly with 3.1.3 and 4.0.1.
You know why it took them 3 Years to implement AVRCP?
According to a speculation every producer of a device with iPhone interface (docking station, music station, cable etc) had to pay a licence fee on Apple for the plug specs. If you have full A2DP and AVRCP you won´t need this..... understood ;-)
But aware, this is only a speculation, plausible though.

i am bummed out by this news. I bought some bluetooth headphones before they first allowed it in the OS, and was disappointed when I couldn't control it like I could with the dongle that came with my headphones, so I put them away and haven't used them in a while. Now I don't know where they are...I blame Steve for making me lose my headphones!

I can finally use my Motorola S9 HD to skip songs ...... been waiting for this for a long long time :D
-
bout freeeeeeeeeaaaking time
-
yeah, same here. My pretty nokia BT headset (bh-903) works like a charm with my old blackberry, but iphone 3G and 4 just freezes it after seconds of usage... will it be fixed with this iOS release?
-
With this give the iphone 3G bluetooth voice control?
-
I am only able to use the backward and forward buttons on my Nokia BH-214 after updating to 4.1. I know for sure these buttons had no effect before with 4.0 and 3.1.3. What has always worked is the play/pause button only.
-
iOS 4.1 brings AVRCP Bluetooth controls to the iPhone:
http://www.iphonehacks.com/2010/09/ios-4-1-brings-avrcp-stereo-bluetooth-controls-to-the-iphone.htmlSo forward and back buttons on the Bluetooth accessory should work and you should also be able to control the volume buttons. Earlier, you could only play/pause tracks.
-
Actually, it's control freak and billionaire that goes hand in hand. lol
-
Ok, 4.1 loaded onto iphon4; itouch; iphone 3gs. All sat next to one another on a table...none visible. Here we go again with this pile of crap.
As a lawyer, I'm absolutely certain there's enough evidence from users to commence a class action against Jobs and his cronies.
They ought to be truly ashamed of this utter disgrace of a 'phone'

You bet I've been waiting for AVRCP! Only for about three years!
Totally delighted that I can finally skip tracks over Bluetooth - have blogged about it here: http://bit.ly/aJgt9f
