Apple TV blows dead horses. My PS3 does everything it does. Put applications in it and maybe i'd consider it, but other than that it's a snooze.

1st the Ps3 is alot more expensive and secondly it will not play your drm protected iTunes music, shows or movies.
Btw, I have 2 ps3s! I'm getting an apple tv just to replace my airport express which I use for music streaming in the living room

I had a recent charge to my account 2 days ago. Order status does not reflect any changes yet but I am expecting a shipment change soon. Same thing happened when I ore ordered my phone. It was re-charged a few days prior to shipping.

I called apple support yesterday and hammered the guy about the ship date. He finally caved and said he saw shipment releases for pre-orders placed just a few days ahead of mine and that I should be pretty much next on the list.
Then again...he could have just been telling me that to get me off the phone.

They just charged my credit card for my order which I placed a month ago, today! So I'd say this is correct, shipment should be soon.

ordered mine on the 1st and saw a charge a couple of days ago yet there is no change in shipping date. Still says, ships in september.

The order link for Apple TV now says that status is "prepared for shipment"! Yesterday was just "not yet shipped", so we are close now
