I may be no help, take from me what you wish, also, I am not responsible for your phone. If you have already jailbroken your device, and wish to reinstall cydia, I believe you would not have to restore, or you may be able to find an application on cydia to reset your settings. Otherwise, just right click on your device in iTunes, and select backup, and then if you have to, click restore and then restore your settings. Hope I have helped.

Restoring is not going to resolve the problems with Winterboard and Fontswap, they are probably not compatible with iOS 4.1. So wait for the developers to fix the issues.

Font Swap does not work with iOS 4.0, to my knowledge, because the new OS uses a different method. The only way to install new fonts is to SSH onto your device and first back up your original fonts (Helvetica.ttc, HelveticaNeue.ttc, LockClock.ttf, MarkerFeltThin.ttf, PhoneKeyCaps.ttf, PhonepadTwo.ttf) Then download 4.0 compatible fonts from websites such as iPhoneRuler.net and replacing the original (not the backup) fonts. Remember to use only fonts that say 4.0 compatible. Search YouTube if you need a visual step-by-step example.
Winterboard is working fine.
