It sucks. Duo's bad enough, now you add only 2GiB RAM and the Mac Processor, it's 100% krap.
-
Mac Processor??? LOL what the hell are you talking about?
-
But these laptops sound weak and have a big price tag. I'm not sure if I'll get one. so they removed the webcam and gave us a facetime cam instead. Steve is a genius for real
-
Mac Processor you mean Intel
-
as opposed to the amd core 2 duo
oh wait.....only intel makes a core 2 duo -
The old macbook air, the one I purchased a couple months ago, has a backlit keyboard. I wonder why Apple removed the feature in the current model as it is a killer feature!

Hello? what this has to do with hacking the iphone???
-
My guess is battery and possibly a little more space. Or they're just doing what they always do and save something for next year.

Interesting video on Mac book air. The review and the video about the product is really good. After seeing all of this i am planning to get a Mac book pro.

Thank you!

Bull **** .. WTF apple .. This thing stinks badly .. Looks like apples early days are back .. Or is Steve feeling like he is young again ?? Come on ..core to duo and 2gb ram with 64GB storage is like a laptop for nursery schools .. Where are those high tech laptops .. F@$& you Apple .. They better do BACK TO IOS .. lol
-
guess u can upgrade the ram up too 4 gigs so no problem there
but i have to agree core 2 duo clocked at 1.43 for the 11 inch and 1.80 for 13 inch is quite slow.but then again it reflects on the price, have u guys forgotten the previous macbook air price? it was damn expensive. This is at least reasonable considering its apple and its high prices and all so this seems OK.
and remember its for mobility so when ppl r on the go, u don't need such a good processor or lots of ram for that matter.

wait i thought when apple introduced the iPad they were slamming on netbooks, because what i see here just looks like an apple netbook
-
The backlit keyboard was such a key selling point on the first air-- I loved that feature too.
-
Better i take old macbook pro

The Air sounds amazing, and it should be at that price point. Interesting reading your comments; a backlit keyboard sounds pretty necessary. Well if you want to get fast internet on your Air, or your Macbook, or whatever you have including your iPhones, take a look at the portable Rover Puck. It's a 4G hotspot you can share with a bunch of devices and get fast internet wherever you go. CHECK IT!

Have you not figured out this site is also about other Mac products as well as iphone ???
-
Not enough to get me to give up Tablet Pc but it came close. Add dual booting (use ipad/iphone apps) laptop with flip touch screen with internal accelerometer, gps and 4g!
-
Id like one, since my school has macs nd im used to using them, but its REALLY high priced! Hasnt apple noticed how bad the economy is??
-
I think that the iPad's days might be numbered. The MacBook Air is a touchscreen and a swivel hinge away from making it obsolete.
Here is an article that describes how the MacBook Air will Replace the iPad by the next generation of the device.
Thanks,
