Well said, I live in the UK and previously the iPhone was on O2 and It sold loads, now it is on every major network (including Tesco) but it's not on Virgin, It has sold MILLIONS, If they had the iPhone unlocked in the US I think most americans would buy the phone, on the network that suits them!!!!!
