I would never buy a white iPhone at all, and I think most people won't either... I don't even know anyone who owns a white 3Gs!

Had a white 3GS and loved it.
Think the White iPhone 4 was cheap and tacky looking on comparison to the black.
I believe apple should scrap the White 4 and focus entirely on the iPhone 5! -

I cannot believe all the fuzz for only a difference in color. Was it that hard to create a white 3G(S)? Why bother introducing the 4 white if so many problems were already foreseen.. Or somebody did'nt pay attention in the test stage..

I don't get it. How are the white front and back housings available on eBay? Any problems with those? And if the problem is the home button, how come the pictured white iPhone, assuming it was a prototype, look fine? They cant mass produce that?

I gave in and got the blak4 today. All I accomplished by waiting was adding 4 months to my next upgrade eligibility.

And this is why apple dont care about not releasing the white version. They know that you will still buy an iphone 4, just in black. So they will still get their money and sales figures.

agreed. there is nothing special about the white models, as it is the same as the black, only the color difference.
To everyone waiting for the White. Here is the message. Just forget about the white. If they are still planning to release it, as it was siad, it will probably release in Spring 2011, now by that time, you are only 3 month away from the next generation release, and there is no point in getting the white if a better model will come out in June. If you really want the white, then just buy the black model, and put white stickers over it.

Because the white plastic are easy to make. The iphone 4 is made of glass and that is totally different then the plastic. and they can't get the right color.

no one knows what color Apple will offer. Sure they might come out in white, but if it's the same thing as iphone 4, might as well be delayed.

The white iphone 3GS is beautiful and NO,it is neither guy nor lame.
I will wait for another white iphone whether is the 5 or the 6,I don't care,I am more concerned about Steve's close mind.On top of that,these are just devices,toys etc...there are more companies and life is not just about phones and waiting lines to purchase the latest and coolest one,specially when you see Apple playing and creating all this hype. -

Yeah I got that one.. but I don't understand that they did'nt pay attention to that during the test stage. I mean, they have a white prototype which should be tested for these failures as well..
Personally I think this might also be a hoax from Apple itself to boost sales and expectations if it is in stores before Christmas after all.

yep, and black gets lost in black bags, briefcases and dark rooms. on the other hand, white can be seen in the darkness of any of those black holes. maybe apple will alternate years, black in 2010, white in 2011? white was the original macbook color. hey, what about a silver/aluminum iphone? bet they haven't thought about that yet ;)
