The funny thing is that I dont understand what repeating alarms have to do with the time. If it is set to repeat or only once, 5am is 5am...

yes, then the next day it won't go off unless you say repeat daily.

Their code must not be converting between GMT and localtime and comparing current time and alarm time in the correct order. Personally, I think NSDateFormatter is confusing. Blech!

What I mean is that if the phone thinks it is 5sm (my time) then it is 5am and it should not matter if the alarm is set to repeat or not. As it is my repeating alarms are going off an hour ahead :(

WTF, they call this a workaround, nice!
I myself set my alarm to 6AM every weekdays, turning repeat off means I may miss it one day or another.
So my workaround is: set the bloody time to go off at 7 AM instead. Happy?

just set the alarm to 5am, than alarm will go off at 6am. By doing so even it is repeating,it won't crash.No need to set the interval to never...
