Its horrible

Agreed, doesn't work on www.newgrounds.com
Basically just works for youtube, and we've already got that.Save your money folks.
-
i will try to review it, im going to download it and give you a full review
-
If Apple is really against Flash I say they shouldn't take 30% comission
-
yeah it works on any site that doesn't check to see if you have flash which is almost all of them, in which case it just says "you don't have flash wanna download it?"
and when it does work it takes about 5 minutes to load a 30 second clip on WIFI!!!

The first 2 websites I tried, www.tsn.ca and www.theglobeandmail.com (I'm Canadian, yes) didn't work at all. These were the two websites I had in mind when I heard about this app. Very disappointed! I hope there are updates to fix this.

Nice first try but a lot of videos aren't playing. Needs updates to play majority of flash videos.

It looks like they need to add support to individual sites (which seems a little strange and doesn't sound scalable). They have mentioned:
List of supported sites grows daily (request new sites via Settings >> Feedback menu) -

We have added the point as important points to consider before you buy the app. -
**** works.

Not sure what the problem may be. I just got it and im on 3G. Loaded a few videos already, one is from southparkstudios and another is from the daily show. Both loaded in about 30 seconds with decent quality over 3G. works awesome for me

Its been taken down already xD fail...

Wow I so happy when I heard about this a few days ago. But can't believe all the bad reviews for it. Thinking twice about this now. Not a good look for skyfire.
-
It sucks. Tried it on various sites and none worked. Already deleted it.
-
Was so happy^

The problem is that flash is processed on the developers servers or whatever. So you have to wait for the process to take place. This means it cannot be instant. This is the primary reason flash games won't work and the reason it's kind of rubbish.
Will wait for frash to be officially released.
-
-
And I was just about to NOT download it.. But if I have to wait 5 min for a 30 clip to load I'll be up all night! sheeez
-
Hu??? I'm not a flash master but I thought flash was processed on your end?? If not why will one flash game be slow on one computer ( crappy video card / slow CPU ) and that same game run super smooth on mine?
Also because of the line
"(request new sites via Settings >> Feedback menu) " So what has to happen is the makers of this program have to contact the site owners and have them install HTML code of some sort.It also sounds to me that its not really running flash video its converting it on the server side(Like you say) and spitting it back out in some format that the IPhone can play.
-
What happens if you exit the program and go back to the site and run that same video?? dose it play right away or dose it take the same amount of time to reload/convert?
-
The app is currently not available, it show items is not available after clicks purchased.. What happen, apple decided to block it ...
-
Steve jobs suck D!ck...what a ****
-
it said not avaible in us
-
Dude. The app is restricted to processing flash data on it's own system. When u install skyfire your iPhone, iPod or iPad is a passive reciver of pre processed flash data. That's how the app works and it is believed that it is to this end that the app passed apples approval (for a short while).
Concequently the app is very limited.

Apple took skyfire off the app store. What do ya think now!!!! Omg!!!
-
Apple has nothing to do with the non-availability of the app. Skyfire decided to pull it from the App Store as the demand for it was so high that they started facing server issues. They are currently working hard to add more server capacity but haven't provided an ETA on when it will be available again on the App Store.
-
Thanks and I'm sure you guys will keep up posted. I really hope they fix the issue And the other issues ppl was having with alot of flash sites.
