I have unlocked iphone 4 with 4.0.1 and using with T mobile..still, dont know how to get APN settings to have internet. Again I am asking iphonehacks to hlp..may b any reader...thanks in advance.

I could not set APN settings, because I dont see Cellular Data Networking option

Go to cydia and add this repo.
Install the carrier reset fix.
After it installs, take out sim card and put it back in.
You should see APN settings right away.
Try a reboot if needed, but you should get the apn settings this way.

I don't know why people are always posting that they've lost their unlock or jailbreak. I wonder if its because they're careless or daydreaming clicking on whatever icon pops up when connected to itunes or they just don't know any better. Anyone who knows anything jailbreaking, and/or unlocking their iphone lives by 2 rules. You should commit this to memory
Rule number 1: Never ever update your phone until the proper jailbreaking, unlocking tools are released.
Rule number 2: See rule number 1. -
Here's a thought, what if someone could make a program to block the carrier update, or firmware update check popups that appear every time you connect to itunes. I'm sure that would cut down on accidental upgrades and updates. Already got a name for it, Itunes pop up blocker, how original. lol It would be in the best interest of jailbroken app developers, because you can't buy their apps if you no longer jailbroken. And who wants to see all that cash go back to Jobs anyway. I'm sure he has more than enough. I much rather give it to some struggling developer than see Jobs get a percentage. Just my 2 cents.

Well that's a pretty good news.. So for those of u who are already on 4.1, u better saved yr shsh before it's too late or u guys will become like a cry baby nagging for jailbreak or unlock again.
I'm pretty sure our genius developer will figure out a way to unlock the 02.10.04 right after unlock 05.14.02. So keep ur figure crossed guys and avoid any update at all UNLESS u know what u a doing..

i bought my phone september 8 or whatever. Comes with 4.0.2. You guys said there will be no unlock for this firmware, you said i need to update to 4.1!!! I did it. Now you saying im stupid i update it? Im waiting for unlock for 2 months now. Bc devs dont want to lost exploit or what after geohots lamera1n! Theres thousands of people in the same situation like me. And stop saying its free so i should wait, i dont care i can pay. I just need to use my expensive phone

ORRR just like ME
Some idiot messed with my phone, got in safe mode-normal loop constantly and had to restore.
Though I THINK I have a factory unlocked, as on 4.1 my sim works(Which I knew would work) and another sim worked from a different carrier.
But I am leaving for Aus at end of month, so this might or might not be important to me.
Bottom line is, people aren't stupid, well some are, but occasionally things just get messed up, and you have to update...
Trust me, I did NOT EVER want to update until the cydia packages were more compatible with 4.1. Now I'm stuck with mine crashing occasionally when I use certaing plugins, so gotta disable them.
And yes, I actually fix phones for a living and also JB etc, so I know how to handle this stuff, so don't be idiotic and think everyone just clicks mindlessly at their screen!
