Adobe Flash Causing Poor Battery Performance? Adobe CTO Attributes It To Misinterpreted Facts
The tussle between Apple and Adobe over Flash has so far been limited to its non-implementation on iOS devices. Apple however went a step further recently with its launch of the new Macbook Air. Unlike the earlier models, Apple decided against offering a pre-installed version of Flash on the new...

finally something positive and accurate about Flash!
-
Flash is the most buggy and resource hog that I've ever seen.
-
Honestly this whole Flash battle is getting old. Flash doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon so why doesn't Apple and other manufacturers invest in improving battery technology while Adobe should improve on the efficiency of Flash.

GOOD ONE

What's the big deal? My PC (that I built) didn't come installed with Flash either.
I had to install it myself after installing Win 7x64 and Firefox - and that's after installing the mainboard, the CPU and RAM, the GPU and HDD and PSU and optical drive... :P -
I don't see anything positive or accurate about his statement. He basically said HTML5 could consume the same or more CPU (though he failed to mention that it could actually consume less). I don't find anything accurate about "the number could be more or less than this other number"... all he was trying to do is deflect from flash to "blame HTML5 too, he started it!"

flash should not used for:
video
slideshows
ads
websites design (in general)
everything else is fine. You can create rich applications, but nobody uses them so HTML 5 go baby go! -
all they do is fuss n complain..they should work together in working on something that will function...its definitely possible becuz the technology is there and you cant tell me sh*t
-
Well, my friend, you have seen very little.

ashol e steve jobs again, who cares. they want flash just give them flash. what's an asshol e.

I wish they would stop trying to make the MacBook Air so much like an iPad and just develop a full-touch tablet computer with OSX that will run flash. Apple said in developing the MacBook Air "We learned a lot from the iPad." I think they wen't the wrong direction.
How many of you would love a tablet with all the functionality of a MacBook?
-
No, I would prefer an ipad for ipad and a mac for mac no confusing the two.
-
Flash is poor on all smartphone and tablets. I now understand why apple don't wanna use that thing..Too much bandwidth.

All Adobe SW are resource hog (CPU and memory).
It is the case for flash but also for Photoshop and even Adobe Reader that becomes slower and slower after each new release.
I was using Cooledit, it was fast. Some years ago it was taken over by Adobe and became Adobe Audition.
The fundtionnalities remained more or less the same, just a new less user friendly UI, but it now use much more resources and is much slower than Cooledit.Adode should definitely work on the resources usage of their SW, all their SW, not only flash.

Guess you have not used iTunes recently to name just one of many programs.
