I've got a speck(I think its speck..its the one with the faux carbon fiber back) slide IN case..not sure what slide on would mean in terms of making a difference...i havent had any issues yet.

Quite a few scratches on the back, from where stuff got stuck between the case and the phone.

I'm using iskin solo, although it is not a slider case, I have no scratches on the back at all. As long as you clean your glass every day, it should be a non-issue.

Install Zagg on the rear and do what ever you want.

Otterbox is really the best case, in my opinion. I've also always put an extra screen film on the backs of every Iphone. That gives double protection. just an idea.

An idea that I should have followed with my 3G but now I ain't taking any chance! I now a film that protects the back of my iPhone4.

I used a normal soft case on my iPhone 4 bought from ebay and I got scratches on the side panel jus beneath the silent button, Really pissed me off ... !!
