will wait for unlock again after 4.3

On a cynical note, this could just be a way to fix the exploits in 4.2.1 and make life he'll for the dev team during the holidays. But surely
Steve B. Jobs wouldn't be that much of an AH. -
As if Jobs gives a toss about the devs!
-
another problem if accidentaly update your iphone,,,
lol -
ohhh this is an awesome way of Apple to f*ck w/ the Devs and all eyeing jailbreakers! This is great, now what great new/news are there to look forward to in this iOS upgrade this time. Another possible BB update, party who'd suffer most are the eyeing unlockers!

4.3 soon wtf?!? Guys, if my unit is a factory unlock iPhone 4 & has already been jailbroken, would upgrading to this current iOS versions do any amount of hazards to me? Say like.. Base band issues? Tnx pls helllpppp... Im in a humongous amount of doubt whether to upgrade my version to the most current.

iPhone 3GS here running OS 3.1.3. where do i find option to choose 4.1 upgrade via iTunes instead of 4.2?? Itunes only currently offers a 4.2 upgrade, i figured out that i prefer upgrading and staying on the 4.1 where its more secure, safe, & less complications. Thanks guys! I'd appreciate literate suggestions on this.

One more reason to switch to Android. This is the most retarded way to handle a devices, even Microsoft lets people have more freedom with their devices.

Once a new iOS is release Apple no longer allows download of the old version. As far as Apple is concerned iOS 4.1 is dead and buried. There is no official way to get any iOS onto your device except iOS 4.2, hence the NEVER update unless you are 100% sure what you are doing.
It is good practice to treat every single update to your iDevice as permanent with NO WAY to undo your choice.
Live by that rule and you'll be a happy camper.

Not true!!! You have have to have SHSH Blobs saves on cydia and you can dl from a trusted sorce i.e. sinful iphone. You also have to change a file in itunes to point to sauriks server!

I want the unlock now , not after 4.3
-
shshs 4.3 now please right on the first ios 4.3 beta version. iAssH iSteve is new nam for Steve Jobs.

When iDroid is a complete port there will be no reason not to have an iphone. Both worlds in one device, cant ask for more. JB iphone will always be more open than Android.
-
This is great, Whenever apple plans another update the dev team always say we will wait until apple realeases their update to release our jailbreak.
Looks like we wont be getting that unteathered jailbreak till after mid dec.
F off with your BS updates apple!!!

Riiiiiight

It'll be interesting to see if it has anything besides stories, rupert murdoch wants me to know about. Thats not worth the update.

Hi,
I want to use an IPhone 3g / 4 or an iPad for a customer application development and testing. My developers are in USA and the test group is in India. I need a mechanism whcih will help the Developers to see the issues in the Iphone / Ipad by remotely logging in. Is there a facility, and most importantly, can this be done without jail breaking.
Regards,
Sumeeth M -
who care this update..
-
Thank christ for the dev team and the history of jailbreaking or id have to live with what apple wants me to do with my phone. These updates are rediculous though, they might as well call each update "jailbreak fix 4.1, 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.3" etc lol
-
Or JUST maybe, you could you know... DOWNLOAD the update from Apple when updating...
That way, you will always HAVE the update file...
You know... just a thought... I got all versions going back to 3.1.2 for iPhone and I think only 3.2.2 for iPad :( Though only recently got one so didn't have a need before :P
But yea, it's good practice.. That way when updating/restoring, it only takes like 1-2min... it doesn't have to like download 400mb haha

Try a VNC viewer via RDP perhaps?
-
Then iOS 4.4 in JAN
-
I tried 4.1.2 - no real gain there for me. So, thanks to Cydia saving my blob's, i rolled back to 4.1 - non-tethered and perfect :)
-
Ooops 4.2.1
-
automatic update next lol

Apple are beginning to pi** me off. So I say to the twats at Apple "Test the sodding updates properly before dumping it on users. Releasing flawed updates just makes ya look like a bunch of gormless w*nkers and not worth the salaries your getting. If I want to fix this stupid daylight savings bug I have to download an update that is flawed. Get your act together Apple or take your Iphones and shove 'em where the sun don't shine."

It appears most of the development with IOS releases lately is for the iPad. I have an iphone 3G running 3.1 JB/UL'd. It seems a good entry point now for an upgrade to 4.2.1, makes sense right? No need to wait for other near-term releases?
