AirVideoEnabler: Hack Enables AirPlay Video Streaming In All iOS Apps
When iOS 4.2.1 was released finally on Monday, we were disappointed to find out that the AirPlay feature was only available on the iPod app and YouTube app to stream audio and video content to the new Apple TV. It was possible to only stream audio from third party apps...

1. Guys, technically... does an unlock (ultrasnow)purpose have any kind of bearing if u do not wish to change/shift your carrier but jst want ur iPhone Jailbroken? & after w/c, a later version goes out & u just wish to upgrade & rejailbreak again? Any complications w/ that?
2.Assuming you have a fac-unlock iPhone, jailbroken state, & wish to upgrade to the most current iOS version... does it involve any kind of hazard if u simply upgrade & use appropriate JB tool not considering whether ur BB increments as well?
Thanks very much! Just need technical infos to get enlightened w/ the JB/Unlock world. :) -
1. no it doesnt
yes, you always have to be careful upgrading and doing ANYTHING so that it doesn't update your baseband
2. factory unlocked? no you can do anything then. -
Installed on 3GS running 4.2.1: VLC plays sound but does NOT stream video. Streaming TV from websites such as TV Catchup or Filmon work but in a strange way: they seem to set up the stream on Apple TV rather than stream direct from the iPhone. For example, if I set TV Catchup to play BBC1, the stream starts but if I turn off the iPhone the stream continues to play - indefinitely. In a way, that must be good as it'll stop the iPhone's battery draining. It also means you have to wait for the initial advert (which streams before every TV channel change) to finish before initiating the Airplay stream to the Apple TV - otherwise the advert will play but the TV stream won't be initiated for the TV program afterwards (hope that makes some kind of sense).

I live outside the US. With the netflix app, I only hear the movie, no video signal. Any suggestion?

Why hack when Apple can very well give this, Apple just wants to act like a ahoe
-
Has anyone tried this on the iPhone 3G, guessing it doesn't enable airplay?
-
Anyone had any success with this and the sky sports app?
