Report Claims Apple Has Selected Camera Lens Supplier For Next Generation iPad
As we inch closer to 2011, rumors of the next generation iPad and the purported features it is set to sport have already started making news.
With most of the iPad competitors including the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the BlackBerry PlayBook already boasting of high resolution front and rear camera for video calling and photograph, a second generation iPad sans camera would certainly not be a great advertisement for the highest selling tablet of 2010.

go for front only whats the point for a rear facing camera? for a device that big i think if a rear facing camera was to be put it needs to be way better than 5 mp

Both cameras are definitely a must in my opinion.A rear camera is useful for capturing documents such as with the DocScanner app in the Apple app store. I found that feature to be very useful. The front camera is important for video calls it's the trend of the days to come.

The front facing camera is a sure thing.I'm not sure about the camera on the back... sometimes less is more and if it's only a small % who will use it I'll bet that Apple will leave it out.
