Its come down to watching TV on our phones, making calls on on computers, and surfing the Internet on our TVs. Awesome.

HA- good one!

If they can make it play all types of movie formats from my apple time capsule with needed my laptop running itunes or plex to be turned on I will by it.Needs to play ISO, MKV and the othersIve got 2TB in ripped Blue ray movies and at the moment i use WD TV to play but its not very reliable so this could be a great solution once they get it working.

how the hell do you rip a bluray? or maybe...where have i been?
-
well just googled it. that's pretty awesome. thanks
-
really good one........and its true.

ISO is not a movie format... It's like calling rar or zip movie formats.Good luck with mkv. Most devices wont support it do to the extra horse power required for decompressing mkv. Good quality at small file size, but it's highly compressed.Heck I'd be happy with a vlc app for it that plays avi files with most if not all codecs.

Has anyone managed to get the sky sports app working with airplay?

How can one try it if you don't link to it? It's the internets, you know?

AWesome stuff, this will make Apple TV popular.

Nice one.....so true

true, (ISO) its like a zip file but my WD TV plays all my iso's, so I was in the line of thinking thats its just another media format.I have ripped my whole DVD collection into ISO's and I play them on my WD TV so no need to get up and change dvd's all the time. This hack for Apple TV is right up my alley but Ill wait for the release of a compatabile version with TIme capsule and the other file formats. Hopely ISO is included too :)
