CallLock: Jailbreak App Locks iPhone Screen During a Call; Workaround For Proximity Sensor Issue
According to iOS 4.1 release notes, Apple had fixed the proximity sensor issue reported by some iPhone 4 users just after it was launched. The "super-sensitive" proximity sensor on iPhone 4 was causing calls to be unintentionally dialled, hung up or muted without user consent.

I am on 4.1 and i am facing issues.. let me try this.. !

Didn't work for me. I'm on 4.1 and using lockinfo. When this activates I think lockinfo causes the call to be ended. Good idea but I imagine alot of people are using some sort of lockscreen.

I'm downloading this and sending the invoice to sjobs@apple.com

wait isnt this standard feature already? or is it just a fix up for those with super sensitive proximity sensors, anyways guys good job

UPDATE: This app was updated today to version 1.02 and it works correctly now when I set it to auto lock. It locks a few seconds after you make/receive a call.
-
worked fine even before the update.
-
too bad its not free.

Why not just lock manually?

If u press the lock button during a call the call will be hang up :/ that's why this twick is very useful. My iphone4 was muting calls all the time:/ now it's sorted. Thx for this veryyyy useful twick 5 stars :)

Actually worse since I upgraded to 4.1, it's probably the most annoying "feature" of the 4!!!

I am not finding this issue on 4.1, I think its partly resolved.
-
definitely having proximity sensor issues on 4.1, have had iphone 3G and 3GS as well and never had any problems but constantly 'cheek dialing/muting/ending/etc'.. this won't help me though as for work I often need to use safari while talking to my dispatchers or provisioning equipment while waiting for them and such.
-
might try with manual mode, but can I 'unlock' the call after locking it manually if need be?
-
Can't find it in in my cydia. I have looked directly under bigboss source but cannot fin either ? Is there anything I neeed to do to update the repo ?

Hey guys! If you have a problem with your proximity sensor dont wait a second and go exchange it at an Apple Store... Your i4 is defective and they can even see it on their computer (they receive error logs and wont even have to test it), you'll be leaving with a new one (this issue has been fixed for a while you'll never have this issue again the recent batches). Its amazing to see that JB apps developper found a better way to fix it than apple who denied the problem and increased the sensitivity of the sensor (that's why i4 users now see a red light when they are on a call since the 4.1 update).

Apple has been exchanging iPhone 4 since at least end of September... So I really doubt that an update version of iPhone4 that addresses proximity sensor issue is actually in the wild. Most likely another update will come which will address the issue better.Personnaly I prefer to keep my untethered 4.1 jailbreak than being forced to go to 4.2.1 tethered.

Have already sent my phone back twice on this issue. First time phone was replaced, no change. Second time phone was returned to me same day received. Again, no change. Never had this problem on my iPhone 2G or 3G. Happens just about any & every call when I have iPhone4 to my ear and don't hold perfectly still...

Brilliant!!

Yes. I am on 4.1 and have had proximity sensor issues from day 1. Ironically I end up activate facetime with my face on a regular basis. It's super annoying. The only problem I have with this app is that I use the androidlock XT app and that means I have to swipe my pattern anytime I want to hang up a call. Not a fan. I may try it out later though.
