Google Releases Native iPhone App For Google Latitude
Google has finally released a native iPhone app for Google Latitude.
Google had launched the Google Latitude feature in Google Maps back in February 2009 that allowed users to share their location with their friends and family. Google had released Google Latitude for iPhone in July 2009 but as an iPhone web app and not a native iPhone app. At that time, Google had highlighted that they had to release the feature as a web app due to limitations imposed by Apple on third party iPhone apps.

Excellent App we all were waiting for. Thanks

Superb stuff from Google, they rock totally.

Glad to hear they got this resolved, I will download the app immediately.

not 3g compatable :(

Nice app, looks like location services stay on full time however. Im guessing that is going to kill my battery life. Reviews on appstore are complaining about that also. A better choice at this point is to get LATITUDIE for $1.99 at appstore. This one allows you to set update interval and edit location reports. Map feature shows individual or all too. If you want a updater only without the maps get LONGITUDE from Cydia. Thats a bullet proof no nonsense app.

You can disable that,so it doesn't drain it.Besides that do we really need to be that connected?I hope people who are concerned about the big brother don't download it

I'm getting it immediately - tired of always wondering if my wife left work already, or is getting dinner, or whatever. Battery be damned - it can be recharged; location is important.

why can't i find the app in my appstore?

Epic case of big brother. As if Google didn't ALREADY know everything about me (being my search provider and email host). Great app though!

A great tool for thives!

i really dont see the need for this app unless ur super paranoid.

Agreed, sad because it is not 3G on version 3.1.3 compatible. iOS 4.1 didn't work out for any 3G users I knew so I stayed at 3.1.3.Backport it please Google!
