Word Lens Augmented Reality App For iPhone & iPod Touch Offers Real Time Translation
There have been quite a few augmented reality apps for iOS since the ability to use them was introduced in iOS 3.1. Since then, apps like Cyclopedia, Wikitude and gaming apps like A.R Drone (which lets you control a four-propellered flying machine with the help of an iPhone application) have been around.
It’s now time to turn your attention to another such app, which takes the use of augmented reality to the next level.

Wow that is friggin amazing! I assume it won't work with the 3G since it doesn't take video (without jailbreaking)
-

App is free but it costs $4.99 for English to Spanish translation and $4.99 for Spanish to English translation!!! Ridiculous!
-
the future is really here amazing

Will it change a Mexican into an American?
-
That's quite amazing! I can't think when I might need it, but it's almost worth buying just for how cool it is!
-
Are you sure its free?

As I live in So Cal (little Mexico) this app but be better the Babbleshot as its real time but the theory is better then the implementation. Yes I paid $4.99 for Spanish to English & it's not worth it. As it scrolls through the possible translations it may get the right one but if you don't know the translation (meaning you don't need the app) you wont know when the app is correct. Cool thought but as it does not work well it's worthless & I'm suppressed that iPhone hacks would recommend it.

If you looked, the application is free, but the translation packs cost 4.99 each.
-
the app itself is free...but you gotta pay for the language translation. even so the "reverse word" doesn't work that well with my Maxim magazine....
-
The app is free and it only has spanish-english and english-spanish. The most ridiculous part is that it costs 4.99 for a language pack. And you dont get spanish to english AND english to spanish. It's 4.99 EACH!! Terribly greedy of the developers. Disappointed.

things cost money, time savers cost money, get used to it, money is earned to be spent, else its useless.... if you are in need of this then you will buy it, if you arent then use babelfish. in other words, its the user choice, get over it.

considering its a 1 way translation device, why would you need to translate an image of a spanish word to english, then translate an english word to spanish (since all the signs are spanish) since it uses visual text? just use one of the billions of text translate apps out there, stop being so picky.
