Apple Patents New Antenna Design; Plans To Hide Antenna Behind Apple Logo
Eagle eyed folks over at Patently Apple who keep a tab on almost every patent that Apple has filed in the recent past are at it again. They have now unearthed an interesting Apple patent application submitted to the U.S. Patent & Trade Office, which deals with antennas and their integration in future Apple gadgets.

Apple will surely ditch the new design for this one.

Put the antenna in the Apple logo, so people won't be tempted to cover up or hide the logo, and may even be convinced to display it more prominently. Obvious marketing gimmick.

how could antenna placing behind the logo a "patent"? i really don't care where antenna is placed on the phone as long as it works well. but to be granted a patent for where it's place on the phone is ridiculous.

They may have to rethink later a new design of the 'bumper' for the logo hahaha - The sticker bumper -?

Would it not be The Best thing to put The antenna in The top right corner? Its a place people touch rarely.

Hm, most all the andriod phones come with the antenna built into the battery door, i dont understand how this patent is any different. There isnt only one way that i hold my phone, portrait and landscape. design an antenna that switches between 2 or 3 different locations depending on how im holding the phone to get the best signal. Simple solution, hasnt been done b4, draw up a patient on that....
