Skype For iPhone Gets Video Calling Feature; Allows Video Calls To Desktop Users; Works Over Wi-Fi And 3G
Skype has just released a new version of their iPhone app that finally brings video calling feature to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4g users can make 2-way video calls while iPod Touch 3G and iPad users can receive video calls. Users can also call Skype desktop users from their iDevices.
According to the what’s new section, Skype has added the following new features in v3.0:

finally nice feature, but the quality of the video calls over wifi could be better.

Works good for me. Going to try out 3Gunrestrictor on it and see if that makes video quality better.

Mines will not make any call. It will receive a call but everytime I try to answer it says failed. Same thing with the video calling. Anyone know having the same issue and/or know how to fix it

brilliant works a charm tried over 3g to a windows computer worked great :0)

Video AND Audio quality CONSIDERABLY better with FaceTime. Surprised me as one might think that Skype should have set the standard. This one goes to Apple, in my opinion.

Just got it to work had to do a hard reset. Tried both wifi n edge works great. I like it better than facetime. One thing that needs to be added is be able to switch to The back camera. Been a long time waiting for this.

Already tried it! Its awesome and convienent. I wonder how it would be on 3G... Tango had choppy video on 3g.. i guess it would be same.. something like this ad..

This is a good news for sure but the downside is that now skype has remove API access to 3rd Party apps
