Are not all the leaks exactly what Apple want? The rumours spread faster than any legit advertising and cost the company very little. All the leaks are just teasers. Does anybody really by the lost iPhone 4 etc?

Well the iPod Touch was obvious seeing the direction they took with the iPad and iPhone.

These leaks work in favour for apple because it creates more publicity for them and it's free

Yeah, but they did try to sue Gizmodo...I honestly think that Apple is not smart enough to want this "free publicity" when information leaks, and therefore, tries to shut down any websites that have said information.I enjoy reading about big leaks, seeing a preview of whats next is exciting, but I don't think Apple considers these leaks as "teasers".

well of course they have to try and "Stop" any other leaked media from spreading, because that draws more attention to them, AND if they didn't "try" they would look even more guilty. As for suing Gizmodo, that could be a triple whammy: Publicity from leaking iPhone, publicity from court case, and to top it off they could have come out ahead by winning money from the case.And i assume they already had patents or pending patents on all iPhone 4 technologies prior to the "leak"
