iPhonECG Case Transforms Your iPhone Into A Wireless ECG Machine
It’s truly amazing how mobile technology has evolved over the years. From devices that could only allow people to communicate with each other through voice it evolved to gadgets that could send text messages and soon e-mails, instant messaging, and now video calling where people can see each other and talk – real time.
Mobile devices have slowly entwined with our lives to the point that most people spend more time with their mobile phones than any other gadgets (or even people sometimes!).

Sounds like a good idea. By 2020 we will all be carrying a bag of devices that connect to our iPhones.

As an EMT this is not for use on an ambulance. Unless of course this can provide enough power to shock someone if needed. We have $70,000 heart monitors/defibrillators to monitor patients heart rhythms.

before we can make a phone call through old fashioned wired phone then comes cellphones which we can use to call wirelessly then we can talk at the same time see the ones we're calling through video calls, in the near future maybe we can even shake hands through our phones, who knows LOL...:))

As an EMT who is smarter than the last guy, I can see plenty of applications for this in prehospital medicine. An ECG doesn't shock people. They aren't claiming this is a defibrillator. I think it's a great way to take a quick look at an ECG, but it doesn't replace a real monitor.

As a student nurse who on occasion has problems finding pulses on obese or elderly patients, and hand held ekg would be wonderful. It would also be great for detecting arthmias on the quick.

$70,000. Yeah right!!! That's half the price of an entire class c ambulance. Wait let me guess...... Your ambulances cost 5 million a piece. Lmao. For 70,000 it better shock, do chest compressions and mouth to mouth and drive the unit itself while push meds!!!!! Dumbass!!!!
