Reports Confirm Verizon iPhone Will Be Announced On January 11th
It looks like iPhone is finally coming to Verizon. Wall Street Journal has confirmed that Verizon will announce the introduction of Apple’s iPhone at the media event on January 11th.
The largest U.S. wireless carrier will make the long-awaited announcement at an event Tuesday in New York City, a person familiar with the matter said Friday.
WSJ claims that according to their sources, Verizon iPhone will be similar to iPhone 4 but will work on Verizon’s CDMA network.

I read through StealthBravo's Twitter quoting "Verizon iPhone Release date 02/04/11 at 7:00AM. Pre-order begins 01/20/11. Initial release via Apple and Verizon only." Not sure where he got this from but it makes more sense to relase it on the 4th than the 3rd because I'm sure they'll need a day to prepare.

I encourage all to go verizon's network. Maybe that will settle the overly congested AT&T network. Making my life a little easier. Taking note that 1: you'll probably have to buy a new phone and sign a new contract with V. And 2: You'll have to either sell or "gift" your old iPhone that WONT work on a CDMA network. And 3: Since you probably have a shiny new iPhone 4 you'll have to pay an early termination free with AT&T even if you got it on opening day since it hasn't even been out a year yet. I've said my peace.

I don't like cdma phone. I like sim card where u can swap phone whenever u want. Using iPhone today, and htc hd7 the next .

I highly doubt Verizon will come out with the iphone. Even if it does, I will wait until Apple officially announces. Not that I care because CDMA sucks.

I was a Verizon customer for many years and I got the iphone to get away from Verizon. Who cares if they get the iphone?
