Apple To Announce iPad 2 In The Next 3-4 Weeks?
Digg founder, Kevin Rose claims that he has received information from a reliable source that Apple will announce the next generation iPad in the next 3-4 weeks, possibly February 1st.
Kevin Rose writes on his blog:
I have it on good authority that Apple will be announcing the iPad 2 in the next "3-4 weeks", possibly Tuesday February 1st. The iPad 2 will feature a retina display and front/back cameras.

While a retina display on iPad 2 would be awesome, I just don't believe that's possible. It would be the largest resolution ever seen and developers would have to scroll to develop on an iPad simulator! lol. Still, I hope they increase the resolution some because 768x1024 sucks :(

doesn't matter what apple is gonna come out with anymore. Just looked at the RIM playbook hands on and the ui isn't that special but holy **** its a multitasking monster!!!

I would be interested, but I would like a 7 inch. Wondering if that will ever happen; If so, I'm thinking they'd call it Ipad "Mini". Oh well, wait and see.

I don't think Apple will release anything powered under currently released and scheduled competing products. Faster cpu or dual core is a must for better multitasking. Camera is of course a no-brainer addition. Dual cam's only because of competing products I guess. 128G RAM needed as they won't offer external storage. Higher resolution is of less importance I'd say. I would not want to sacrifice the current battery performance! I wonder if the finally add some usb port to adhere to e.g. agreed standard in EU.

I would like to see the case tweaked and possibly made lighter/thinner/more rounded edges. I read a lot from the iPad and it would be nice if it were more comfortable to hold for longer periods of time. Like what they did with the latest kindle.

Although I am a current iPad owner..if there is Significant changes (besides the Duel Cameras) Then I'll get it..but then again you'd have too think of the price also. A 3G iPad is over $629 for a 16GB so to think logically I would assume that Apple WON'T keep the same Price for the New iPads since the current ones will have to come down in Price Sooner or Later, but that's just My Thoughts.

Just like the iphone, waiting for the third generation should be the sweet spot. Prices will be lower and the technology will catch up to the device. I'm waiting for 2/2012 for mine.
