The days of Verizon calling the iPhone "a tiara wearing digitally clueless beauty pageant queen" may now well be in the past. But the fact that it has taken close to four years for Verizon to announce the iPhone raises our curiosity levels about what transpired behind the scenes even further. Both Apple and Verizon are known to be companies that demand a high level of control on their products.

So is this no longer a hacking sight I only see rumors, reports on verizon iPhone and the please wait for jailbreaks. There are some cool tweaks hitting cidia and not one peep on the iPhone hacking sight, not everythingiphone iPhone "HACKS" i would love to see some more hack related content. It wouldn't be soo lame to see all this non relative content if there was more of this aformentioned "hacking" content. Rant over.....go verizon for pulling this one off.

I want to know since VERIZON is cdma and SPRINT is cdma, can the verizon iphone be flashed to work with sprint. Jailbreaking is legally allowed in the us now so we'll see...

Its the type of network that Verizon uses. ATT and Tmobile use GSM and Verizon and Sprint are CDMA. For example CDMA dont use SIM Cards thats one of the main reasons iphone cant be used on Verizon network until know with a different iphone. Supposely CDMA has better signal however you cant travel with them internationally. There just different type of networks each with their pro/cons however most of the world uses GSM now.

In my umble hopinion - the cons of CDMA outweigh the pros now.We've ditched our CDMA network in this country for a 3.5G network (the leading telecoms company has, I should say, and no other companies use CDMA here). I don't know if there's a schedule for upgrading to 4G or LTE though, we're probably committed to 3.5G for the time being.
