Apple Launches '10 Billion App Countdown' Promotion; Winner To Get $10,000 iTunes Gift Card
When Apple launched the App Store on July 10th, 2008, even they would not have thought in their wildest imaginations that it would end up becoming such a huge success.
The success of the App Store was clear when one billion apps were downloaded in just 9 months. Fast forward to the present and the App Store is about to hit the magical 10 billion app download mark.

OK, further reading shows this story is right and wrong. First, you can get 25 entries per day for a drawing for the $10K gift card. Second, it IS NOT the person that downloads the 10 billionth app that wins. In that light, please fix that part of the article.

It's the 10.000.000.000st app downloader that wins OR the person that is 10.000.000.000st with the entry form.Anybody can take part of this, you don't have to download an app or own an Apple device. (Should hit the 10.000.000.000 around Thursday or Friday)

Also note that some countries use 10 miljard instead of 10 billion for 10.000.000.000 :)
