When we published a post about a jailbreak tweak called DeepEnd, which gives the iPhone homescreen a cool 3D-like effect by moving the iPhone’s wallpaper based on its orientation, tonywongfish, one of our readers commented that the tweak would have more impressive if the wallpaper could be a live feed from iPhone’s camera rather than a static wallpaper.
It looks like jailbreak app developer with the handle limneomaster liked the idea.

In addition to battery drain I wonder how it will affect the life of the camera components.

Ok it's cool but it will just drain the battery so I would pass on this tweak, I use my phone a lot so I rather have juice left in it to last a whole day than go out blasting the music in my ears, always tweeting and checking facebook then to realise my phones going to go dead just because if these cool amazing tweaks. Well done to person and everyone for making these tweaks though, I give them credits for the hard work they put in.

o my god ....i just can't believe they have actaully done it ...!!!can't wait for the actaully installable package. althought me too worry about the bettery drain ...anyway, thanks for all the work they've done !and keep on hard work on this kind creative hacks! i love my iphone but i was REALLY getting bored to look at the same layout for i don't know ....amost 3 yrs.....since iphone 3g !!!!

Sounds pretty sweet! I think the moving wallpaper pseudo-3D effect is kinda cool, but I'm already kinda tired of it. If this camera tweak is free I'll try it out for the novelty.

I'm wondering if the suggestion meant that he wanted to rotate between pictures he had taken prior as his wallpapers?

This app might have a better chance of success on an iPad. assuming the battery life is significantly better. Do people actually walk around while using their iPad.

iPad2 might get a camera. Although ya might have to wait for the iPad 4 since it's a cutting edge technology that wasn't available when the original iPad came out lol
