Early Reviews Of Verizon iPhone
Apple's embargo on publications seeded with pre-release units of the Verizon iPhone ended yesterday and we are seeing early reviews from these publications.
Most of the reviews are as expected, reviewers have observed that the voice quality of the iPhone on Verizon’s network is a lot better than AT&T though download and upload speeds are slower.
Here are some of the excerpts from reviews from some of our favorite tech journalists/bloggers:
Walt Mossberg of Wall Street Journal:

nope i love talking and data at same time

Yup. If my girlfriend calls me and asks me to look up something, I hate to have to hang her up first. Can't imagine how Apple/Verizon can launch with this serious limitation. Not being able to use it world-wide is the second no-no to go Verizon/CDMA :(

Me needs fast speeds call quality is fine.

ive been ATT since 2004, yup sometimes customer service sucks but not all of them... love GSM always out of the country all the time so i need GSM. CDMA thats a big NO for me
-
Hard choice between an obsolete CDMA technology but a good network + good coverage and a much better GSM technology but a poor network + poor coverage !May be an iPhone 5 with CDMA and GSM and UMTS ?

stayin with ATT

yup i love using google while i talk to people and im in sacramento ca and travel to florida alot and havent had many problems with signal. So its at&t for me plus ive been with them since 2006 and i get unlimited data for 20 bucks

It seems kind of unfair to say, right now, that Verizon drops fewer calls, because so few people actually have the Verizon iPhone in hand — who's to say they won't have the same problem if everyone flocks over there?

exactly lol i cant wait for all the people to switch and still complain xD but hey, our service would probably improve

Looks like ATT is going to take a big beating.

I switched from iphone 3gs to droid because of the ATT reception issues in denver (and many parts of the country). I couldnt care less if i have to hang up and redial to look at a website. With ATT i already had to redial atleast once per conversation.Verizon all the way. When I travel overseas I just get a cheapo phone anyway. All information i need will be with my laptop and on cloud servers.

Verizon is farther out already on the 4g lte network, which will do data and voice at same time. so by 2013 verizon will be loads ahead of att on speed and things as well.
