Greenpois0n RC 6.1 Released To Fix iBooks Issue
Chronic Dev Team has released an updated version of greenpois0n – greenpois0n RC6.1, which includes the fix for iBooks problem we reported few days back.
Greenpois0n is an easy to use jailbreak tool that allows iPhone (including Verizon iPhone ), iPad and iPod Touch users to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1.

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE KEYBOARD.. I CANT CHANGE THE LANGUAGE LAYOUT (slovakia english etc.)IN SOME APPS LIKE IN CYDIA, APP STORE ETC. ETC. I RESTORED THE DEVICE TO 4.1 AND ITS OK, ITS JUST ON 4.2.1.

Yes there is a battery drain problem a lot faster drain with greenpois0n than if you use custom firmwares from sn0wbreeze and so on. I have tested just for that and it is a issue.

Excellent fix guys. I also found that Cydia has a fix for the iBook issue. Add repo.insanelyi.com to your Cydia sources. Search for "iBook Fix" and install it. I had to do it twice because it didn't finish the first time for some reason. But all Apple books open fine now. The problem is fixed. Next!

Not really man, but a few of my buddies who j/b had the moving wallpaper in the background, and that killed the battery. Do you have anything like that?

Can I apply this directly on top of a RC6 jailbreak?

The comex ibooks fix did not work for me, it keeps giving me an error message on V iphone.

I've JB over 15 (family and friends) iphone 4 so far. Everyone said after the jailbreak the battery last longer.

Hmmm iBooks was never an issue for me even with the rc5 and rc6.. does this rc6.1 have any other fixes? is it worth re jailbreaking ??

I used to have a battery all day. Now it does not last as long. iPhone 4.

iBook only throws an error when you try to open a legitimate book (i.e. you bought it from the iBook Store). In any case, if it doesn't affect you then I guess rc6.1 has nothing new.

Yes. I installed it over RC6 on my iPhone 3GS and over RC5 on my iPad. Fixed the iBooks problem on both devices and it fixed a problem I had with Cydia not starting on the iPad.

so rry i mean my push for 3rd party apps is not working on GP. Anybody else having this issues. no badges on my feedler news reader or any other 3rd party app till after i manually check. mail push is working however.
