AT&T Enables Personal Mobile Hotspot Feature For iOS 4.3 Users
When Verizon and Apple launched CDMA iPhone 4 – mobile hotspot feature, which allows users to use iPhone’s data connection with up to 5 Wi-Fi enabled mobile devices was considered one of the major selling points.
But iOS 4.3 beta 1 revealed that the personal mobile hotspot feature will be coming to GSM iPhone.

Groovy. MyWi uses a lot of battery even when idle. Might be interesting to see if this does better on that.

MyWi 4.0 Rocks!!!!.....and what is best...No Limit on Data use!!!!
-
Mywi all the way!! Only reason I jailbreak my iPhone silly att puts a limit on an "unlimited" plan!
-
I have MyWI on my wifes phone, it does use a lot of power. Monday my Motorola Atrix shows up, which is already rooted. Free Android hotspot goodness. Dual core power, 1gb ram, HD screen, so awesome, bye bye iPhone!! LOL

Motorola vs. iPhone? ha ha ha, I don't think so...
-
Not if they will charge me for tethering. If I pay for unlimited data (which I do) then it's my data and charging me extra to use my data is BS. That's why users jump ship & jailbreak. I'll dump att as soon as another network will allow me to do data & voice at the same time. Or Mabey I'll jailbreak and use myfi. Screw att greety SOBs

you are such a fucking tool. You are on an iPhone website, dissing the iPhone. I mean how jobless can you be?
-
Cause the atrix is gonna be a wicked phone. Ill agree, it doesnt have a better screen, but its 4" AMOLED screen looks pretty good. The fingerprint scanner is amazing. no password, instant access... for me only. 1930mAH battery instead of the iphone4s 1500mAH, Dual core 1Ghz (Doubles the iphone4s processing power and is supposed to be more efficient than their rumored upcomming A5 dual-core SoC) Heard about the upcomming TEGRA3? Quad core 1GHz processor, the same size footprint as the TEGRA2. Apple is WAY behind if you ask me.

What is the use of enabling when Apple still has it in Beta.
-
It's a Nice Feature, BUT..I'll stick with my PDA Net which gives me Free Wi-Fi Hot Spot, and Wi-Fi Client(Basically people can connect to my Iphone) and Free USB tethering also. Why pay $20 a month when I can get it for free.
-
just jailbreak and use MyWi 4.0 No Limit on Data use
-
Hmm, can I use my 800 iOS apps on the Motorola? Nah, more h/w on paper does not at all mean better user experience. Andriod is still way off iOS 4.3 IMHO. But if you enjoy your Motorola is all for your own benefit of course.

Three network in the UK has an "all you can eat" data plan (no data limits). I've been on it for a week and been deliberately pigging out just to see if any restrictions kick in, such as throttling etc. No signs of that yet. so it's looking good value considering it's bundled with loads of calls and texts too.
-
I did not know that (using MYWI does not use at&t's data)!
-
no no, These people are just ridiciously retarded.. Any App on the Iphone that uses or delivers a Data connection comes out of your monthly data bucket. There is no "free" data comming out of At&t's ass!The "free" part is you don't need to pay a premium on top of your original data plan to tether, but still there is so "unlimited" usage.****.

Correct! But i believe the unlimited part that is being boasted about is from those that have been grandfathered in with the unlimited data plan.
