With just a few hours to go for Apple’s media event where it is expected to unveil the 2nd generation iPad, folks at Chinese site DGtle have published of what they claim are photos of iPad 2.

Not a fan of when designers attempt to convince you a device is thinner than it really is. Both a bad aesthetic and even worse ergonomic (doesn't feel right in the hand or sit well with the eye). Was very glad when Apple went away from the 3G/3GS design to the iPhone4.Either make the device actually thinner, or keep the lines clean and true to the size of the device.We'll see if these pictures are accurate or artist's renditions.

looks fake to me, where is the thunderbolt port? amazon Germany leaked specs indicate an thunderbolt port on the iPad 2 which is missing from this mockup!

Actually, the 3G/3GS felt better in the hand than the 4. I like that my 4 lays flat, but rounded edges would be nice, too. As long as there's a large flat area to rest on, I like the tapered edges.

Employees of Apple say iPad 3 is the one to be really excited about...I see no distinct changed on the 2 that differentiate it from the original...and what is a "thunderbolt" port??

Thunderbolt is the new port found in the new MacBook pro's. It's suppose to be fast. I'm hoping iPad 2 and iPhone 5 come with it. It would make transferring music, photos, data a lot faster. If it doesn't have it, I'll wait till iPad 3 since I'm sure it will have it (at least I hope).
