Coverage Of Apple's 'Come See What 2011 Will Be the Year Of' Event
Apple's 'Come See What 2011 Will Be the Year Of' event should be underway shortly (10:00 AM Pacific Time or 1:00 PM Eastern Time).
Apple is widely expected to unveil the 2nd generation iPad. Apple's special event is being held at the Yerba Buena Centre for Arts in San Francisco.
It remains to be seen if Apple will be live video streaming the event like it has done previously. We'll keep you posted.

I like that the iPad 1 prices will now drop. Nothing about the iPad2 sells me on getting it instead. "I just saved [more than] 15% on my new technotoy!"

Looks like another feeble way for Apple to suck the financial life out of it's coustomer base while providing meager upgrades to it's devices. If it had a higher res screen and some more ram then it would be worth upgrading for but as it sits I don't see the real value in upgrading it's basically the same with cameras built in. 33% thinner and lighter who really cares? And a little faster thepointbeing??? Looks ho hum to me.

As an iPhone 4 AT&T user (mostly because of the abbility surf and talk at the same time), I ask mself why would anyone ever buy the iPad 2 Wifi+3G on the AT&T network (assuming they are getting the WiFi+3G version and not just the WiFi version)? What I mean is, on the iPad2 there is no problem with surf and talk (cause there is no phone on it) and Verizon will alway be the better network. You'll alway get better coverage. I assume, correct me if I'm wrong. Thoughts?

yes, but still it is missing so much. check the specs of the xoom, I would expect apple to put something that can compete with that...instead, they updated the ipad 1, and made it a bit stronger...

who gives a ****? who the hell holds up a 10 inch device to take a goddamn picture? its not a freaking camera. Honestly even the fact that it does 720p video is pointless.
