iPad 2 Speed Test: 4x Faster Than iPad 1 (iOS 4.2.1), 1.5x Faster Than iPad 1 (iOS 4.3); 3x Faster Than Galaxy Tab
According to Apple, the new 1GHz dual-core A5 chip in iPad 2 unveiled at today’s ‘Come See What 2011 Will Be Year Of’ event is two times faster than the original iPad and also improves graphic performance by up to 9 times.
Folks at CNET UK who got a chance to get their hands on the new iPad after the event, ran a quick benchmark test to find out exactly how fast it is.

lol!its nice to see a speed bump in ipad2! its already smooth enought, making it even smoother with 9x graphics will be a killer! The biggest plus for me thought is the thinner size with the cover, now my ipad is much thicker in a case, i could carry the iPad 2 in my normal folio case i have for carrying around some work paper stuff.Btw when you compare tablets its not the speed or ports and camera specs and such! Its about the overall experience people have with a device and thats where its wins big time.

Faster in what?Web browsing ?App launch ?Video editing?(i know its web browsing but i rarely browse with ma iphone4 , would really love to see reduced app launch times in ios 4.3)

Faster web browsing is always good. I do quite a bit of web browsing with my iPhone 4. But it means nothing to me unless there is an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.

Because Im running linux on a pc I cant get an ipad at the moment but i have used alot of internet tablet all theese android tablets are stupid the software is written for mobile phones so alot of the apps cant run on a 9 + screen,samsung,dellstreak and motorola Iv had a go and they seem to clitch and freeze alot and dont open half the apps.If you want a internet tablet and cant afford an ipad or cant use an ipad like me due to your os search ebay for a n800/n810 old and not as good as a ipad but atleast there better than android
