Verizon iPhone 4 Flashed To Work On Cricket Wireless
While the iPhone Dev Team are working hard to unlock GSM iPhone, it looks like some folks have figured out a way to flash CDMA iPhone 4 to work on pay-as-you-go carrier Cricket Wireless’ network in the US.
Few weeks back, we had reported that Verizon iPhone 4 had been unlocked to work on China Telecom’s CDMA network.

FIRST!!!!! So if CDMA iphone 4 can flash the baseband, why can't GSM iphone 4. It sounds as thouh someone has created a way to downgrade the latest basebands to me!

CDMA basebands use a completely different software that is universal in the same was that all GSM are creäted. GSM are inheritably more secure because they are designed to be used everwhere. CDMA are designed to be programmed to their carrier on the phone (no SIM card) and therefore are easier to flash.

k so i got my iphone 4 flashed to metro pcs but now i want to jailbreak it to enjoy all the free apps but im worried about jailbreaking it because i dont want the flash to get erased so what are my options my version is 4.2.8 please help

How and what did you do to flash your iphone...

If you jailbreak your iphone with redsnow nothing will happened but if you use sn0wbreeze you'll have to reflash it again
