Purported iPhone 5 Cases Also Hint At Larger Edge To Edge Screen

Folks at Hardmac have posted photos of cases, which they claim are for the fifth generation iPhone – iPhone 5.

If the purported cases are accurate then the design indicates that iPhone 5 will get the same form factor as iPhone 4 but with a larger edge to edge screen.

Hardmac reports:

These cases would be prototypes of the iPhone 5 cases, based on the mockup that was provided by Apple.There is apparently no fundamental change on the placement of the buttons and the SIM card slot.

first one, no sim tray line, and there is no way to fix the screen on the frame. it means, it is not realsecond one, it is not have simtray, and no flash for camera. it is not realPlease, remember, check this article http://www.iphonehacks.com/2011/01/next-generation-iphone-or-cdma-iphone-casing-leaked.htmlIt is a new frame structure to resolve the death grip issues (even it is effective or not). So, everybody though, it is CDMA phone ? BUT, it has SIM TRAY, it means, it should be WCDMA or GSM. I know as this modification is not applied on current AT&T model. and, I believe this is one of new iPhone. Possibly, I guess, Apple will anounce 4GS (looks like 3GS with 3G). Upgrade CPU, CAMERA, RAM, FRAME CUT, and minor change. Major changing will be applied on real iPhone 5. One more indirect evidence, Apple will release white version just before 3 months for new model. If the model will be changed dramtically, I feel, Apple can not, because of there are so many customer will complain about short life cycle of product. Personaly, I like Al case model, but, if they use molded metal, phone will be more heavier, and more wider and thicker than current phone to keep the battery capacity. If they use same concept with 1st generation, it is not make sense. Specially, ANT issues will be critical, Even they hide ANT under Apple Logo, it is not a solution. Because of when use phone (internet or calling) your hand may can cover APPLE mark. and it will have a directional property. it is going to worst. It is just my think.

How does the case suggest that it would be an edge to edge screen? My 3GS case has skinny edges just the same.

I have an iPod Touch Gen 4. The back is similar to the second mockup. It feels extremely thin, and for most phone users that want their phones to feel like air in their hands, it's great.The iPod Touch Gen 4, though, is horrible to hold as a gaming device. I purchased a case not to protect it, but to make the device easier to grip. Most cases, though, still are following the flow. I wish I was able to find a case that added plastic and squared the edges a bit, make it a bit bulkier to the hand, just enough to make it better for gaming or at least to mock-up an iPhone 4 form factor.All that said: I rather have an iPhone 4 form factor.

i would be disappointed.. they just so similar to iphone3g and iphone4,,.... aluminum back is not enough change to make it a new model... frankly.. i m already bored with iOS in general... that fixed apps.. all lined up.. one home button... go in and come out... dont take me wrong.. its a gr8 technology.. but i m bored now after 4yrs of using it... i need to freshen up my mind with something new.. not just in terms of hardware but also OS.
