iPhone 5 Could Have a Flat Metal Back, Larger Screen
We have discussed the possibilities of the Apple’s next generation iPhone with the same form factor as iPhone 4 but with a larger edge to edge screen and one with an aluminium back panel instead of iPhone 4’s glass back panel.
Folks at 9to5Mac report that according to their source from Foxconn Electronics, the Taiwanese manufacturer of Apple's iOS devices, iPhone 5 will come with a flat metal back panel and a larger screen.

I think the iPhone 4 is the best looking phone available. I'm a big fan of the glass on both sides.

Yes sir! Amazon, how can you not know this. Read up on it on the review section cause I heard the screws fall off and the apple peals off. That's the reason why I didn't get one.

Beveled refers to edges. The primary (largest) surface IS flat, with beveled edges.

This mockup looks horrible!I'd prefer the glass look over the aluminum simply because it loks better and more fashionable...But a flat aluminum back would look ok

Flat is a horrible look. From the moment that the iPhone 4 was leaked, i hoped it wasn't true. It looks just like a $20 TracFone that a few of my friends have had. (minus the touch screen of course) The 3G and 3GS bodies we're so original and the curve fits so much better in your hand. You're crazy to deny it.

That picture is of a beveled metal back. Why use that picture when there are plenty flat metal backs already..

It's gonna look the same except the screen size. The back will be the same - the only difference appearance-wise is the material, which is good since it will be lighter, and will not break like glass. Can't wait for a leak shot, and looking forward for 1GB onboard memory w/ processor and graphic card of iPad 2!

I have a 3G and waiting for the 5 to upgrade...Also waiting for Apple to do a major update to the Macbook Air... I've been using my Current Macbook for 6 years / 3 of that as though it was an air... disc drive died, batteries dead.. graphics processor over heats (ice pack under it if using longer than 20 minutes) Still runs Photoshop.. :)

Look at cnn.cn. It's a company out of Hong Kong that has a ton of aftermarket iPhone hardware. I got my metal back from them, but now I want one of their leather ones.

Even though many will disagree, I personally would definitely love a larger screen. I'm increasingly finding myself more frustrated with the smaller screens as I'm often on the road and need to use a lot of data features on my iPhone 4 for work related matters.
