Google Updates iPhone Apps: Check In With Latitude; Use Places In 30 Languages; Gmail Gets New Connection Bar
Google continues to rollout new features and improvements to its native iOS apps and iPhone web apps.
It has just released a new version of Google Latitude, Google Places for iPhone and has recently introduced a new “connection bar” for its Gmail web app.
Google Latitude gets the new check-in feature, while Google Places now comes in 30 languages.

idk idclove google. but never liked bing .. tryed it a few times... never sat well with me.. then again I am usually looking for underground crap. Bing seems to love to filter all the hotfile, filesonic ..etc.... out...

I'll give this a Try..BUT..I still Like Bing cause it's tied into Skyfire WHICH I LOVE on the iPad..

Google does more productive things for iOS then Apple itself.

Could not agree more. Apple's built-in apps are very bare-bone. The calendar and notes apps are prime examples. So it's left to 3rd parties to develop better replacements. That would be a great thing since it would allow developers to make a living, but unfortunately Apple limits what developers can have their apps do (for example a calendar app cannot dynamically change its icon to show the current date) and prevents users from deleting or hiding built-in apps they don't want or use.

Only if Google also done the same with android phones. Most apps are crap or with virus
