iOS 5 Launch May Be Delayed: Will Be Previewed At WWDC, Released This Fall?
We were expecting Apple to unveil its next generation iOS – iOS 5 at a special event early next month, followed by the public release in June.
However, TechCrunch reports that according to “two solid sources”, iOS 5 will be unveiled at the WorldWide Developer Conference 2011 in June and released only in fall.

I'll be ticked if an iPad 3 is released this year....I stood in line for hours and paid good money for the 2......
-
I call BS. Just another crap rumor.

Horse **** on the ipad 3 being released this year! And i'm happy with my iphone 4, so not worried about the iphone 5 release.

Nobody is stopping you from standing in line again and paying good money again....and so what if the iPad 3 comes out, skip it and wait for iPad 4 or 5 to upgrade.
-
iOS 5 wont be as big an upgrade as iOS 4.
-
meaning we can expect maybe an iPhone 5Gs on fall shipping with iOS5 natively? :D
-
Soooo how bout those cowboys?

I think there will be a new iOS released this summer, but agree with fas on that it won't be as big an improvement as 3-4 was..maybe some multitouch gesture options..
-

Personally, I think iPad 3 releasing early and iPhone 5 releasing late could both be rumors. The Verizon iPhone could cause a late release of iPhone 5 but we'll see. iPhone 2 was releases shortly after iPhone 1. I still don't get this push to cloud. I think it's another buzz word that IT community is throwing around. I honestly hope apple doesn't follow what Microsoft and Google are doing. I like the app centric design of iPhone. It's simple. It doesn't need revamped with a bunch of widgets or live tiles.
