Apple To Unveil iOS 5 On June 6th At WWDC 2011
Apple has announced that the WorldWide Developer Conference 2011 will be held from June 6th to June 10th at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco.
As rumored, Apple has revealed that it will unveil the future of iOS and Mac OS X at the event.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing announced:

If I remember correctly, iOS 4 came out before the iPhone 4... can't remember for any of the others.
