Ultrasn0w For iOS 4.3.1 To Fix Signal Bar Issues; Will Be Released In Few Days
If you’ve jailbroken your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch using PwnageTool 4.3 for Mac, Sn0wbreeze 2.5 for Windows or Redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 that was released by iPhone Dev Team couple of days back and noticed issues such as single signal bar etc. then iPhone Dev team has announced that a fix is on its way.

I have a quick question. What are the issues with the signal bars on this jailbreak? I jailbroke my 4 with Pwnagetool for Mac and I have not noticed any problems. I was just wondering what other issues have you noticed? Thansk

I jailbroke my Iphone 4 4.3.1 using snowbreeze and ran ultrasnow. I have the same signal bar issue, but it only appears to be cosmetic as I've had no noticeable call issues or call drops and no data problems.

I jailbroke my iph4 using redsnow 0.9.6r9 and haven't noticed any signal bar issues. I do notice that safari is much faster at loading web pages though.

Yep, ugraded mine yesterday to 4.3.1 using Pwangetool for Mac and have this exact fault. But as Grime said, "but it only appears to be cosmetic as I’ve had no noticeable call issues or call drops and no data problems"Same with me. But I will still update when this is fixed as I constantly think...No bloody service...!

How can i fix the update ramdisk been crashing???

For those with the ramdisk issues; If your running windows vista / 7, make sure to run redsn0w in windows xp compatibility mode and as admin. Right click redsn0w.exe -> compatibility tab -> Check the boxes for "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and "Run this program as an administrator" This fixed the ramdisk issue for me.

Where are you located? My Australian telco - Telstra - has said that they will unlock their iphones at any time in contract or out of contract for free ... and apparently it's Apple that forces them to lock the iphones they sell.nb - the tradeoff in Australia is that there's usually a 2 year unbreakable contract (or rather, if you break off the contract, you still have to pay the full amount remaining on the 2 year contract .. so you may as well not break it).

Do I need to jailbreak again to fix this issue when the fix comes out? I can not see any issues on my signal bar so I think I will not doing anything.

I have a quick question. If, for example, I have baseband 02.10.04, why can't DevTeam make an fake upgrade to 02.10.05 for example putting the old baseband as the new one? Then all of us would unlock "upgrading" the BB. Just an ideea..

You can get a Gevey Sim unlock on ebay for $70. I'm using it for a few weeks now and it's working great. Working for all carriers.

My 3GS running 4.1 on baseband 05.12.01 is currently jailbroken and unlocked using PwnageTool and redsn0w. Would like to update to 4.3 or at least 4.2. Is there a way to do this WITHOUT losing my unlock? I'm travelling next week and don't want to mess up!

@Sam No, gps issues are because you updated to bb6.15, only when a downgrade comes or another sort of fix it will be fixed.Further I would like to say that you don't have to wait till the new ultrasn0w. There are several fixes arround. I have a 3gs, bb:06.15.00 running 4.3.1 unlocked with ultrasn0w running perfectly

I'm jailbroken with Sn0wBreeze, preseved my baseband so im still 01.59.00 bb and 4.3.1 fw on TmobileHowever, i cant use Data/edge connection during a call anymore, (no web browsing, data apps, etc)This was not an issue on 4.1 fw...anyone have a fix?

i assume you didnt read the warning before you upgrade to 4.3.1 .If using ultrasn0w to unlock your iPhone they have issued a warning about this ! READ BELOW !!WARNING WARNING — ultrasn0w users don’t update yet! We need to first release an update to ultrasn0w that fixes some incompatibilities when FW 4.3.1 is used on the older basebands supported by ultrasn0w. And remember once we do fix ultrasn0w for 4.3.1 (we’ll announce it here and on twitter), you must only get there via a custom IPSW from PwnageTool, Sn0wbreeze or xpwn! Don’t ever try to restore or update to a stock IPSW, or you’ll lose the unlock!

I was facing the no bars issue also when i updated to 4.3.1 and now I updated to 4.3.3 and the problem persisted I just followed the three steps located here http://surreystore.com/cms/apple/65-how-to-fix-signal-bars-on-jailbreak-43.html to fix the issue
