Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1: Untethered iOS 4.3.1 Jailbreak Updated To Add Support For Apple TV 2G, Animated Boot Logos & Bug Fixes
iH8sn0w released a new version Sn0wbreeze - v2.5.1 yesterday to add full support for Apple TV 2G, Animate (animated boot logos) by the Chronic Dev team and also fix some issues such as the YouTube problem reported by users who had hacktivated their iPhone, error 37 reported by iPhone 3GS old bootrom users and lots more.
iH8sn0w released Sn0wbreeze 2.5 – untethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch earlier in the week.

Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 adds afc2 support, which is necessary for tools like iPhone Browser, DiskAid etc to access the file system and allow the transfer of files.

that's what i haven't understand yet. even though when jailbreak wasn't legal, we were still getting jailbreaks but now when its legal, hackers are trying to find "legal ways" to distribute them. strange... i think Dev-Team should be trying to find unlocks and jailbreaks instead of legal ways.

It was never "illegal" to jailbreak, unless the jailbreak included copyrighted code reverse engineered from Apple's own software. At which point they were breaking copyright laws. Apple for years tried suggesting other methods that were used were also illegal, but the courts never officially said anything one way or the other. No one was arrested for jailbreaking their phones. The only power Apple had and still had in these cases was to void your warranty.If this "new" jailbreak method of Comex used reverse engineered methods to develop it, and require some element copyrighted by Apple, then yes, it will be illegal for them to distribute it under copyright law.

Hi,First off well done to dev team and anyone else who hacks and cracks idevices. I have an ipad2 and so am waiting for a jailbreak for it. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by distributing it. Can someone tell me what the problem is? Is there some sort of legal issue?

I've done preserve baseband mode, now on FM 4.3.1 and BB 05.11.07. All fine so far. But missing pre installed Cydia. Any advice on that one?

u just gotta create a custom pre-jailbroken IPSW for 4.3.1 using sn0wbreeze n while doing so use the expert modeu will get an option in the unlocks tab which u need to check incase u need to get the ipad BB i.e 06.15.00

To all the people bitching about an unlock...Shut the **** up.Not anyone's fault but your own for buying a carrier locked phone and relying on a software unlock (that is never guaranteed to happen) when you could have bought one that was factory unlocked.If you want an unlock so bad, figure it out yourself instead of bitching about DEV Team not getting to goods out.I'll be expecting YOUR unlock to be tested, stable, and released by the time iOS 5.0 is out.

this time haven't made it on 1st try, had to do it a second time. it's iPad WI-FI only (no 3G) , meaning no modem firmware (baseband) i suppose. still, had to use the C:\Documents and Settings\user\Dati applicazioni\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPad Software Updates path with .ipsw downloaded by iTunes &, required by snowbreeze.looks good so far.marc

second attempt fails with error 1604 after having created the modified .ipsw file and having started restoring. APPLE verify check passes ok.tried also to unplug & plug in again but hasn't change much, now trying redsnow.marc
