iPhone Dev Team had released PwnageTool 4.3 few weeks back, which allows users who want to jailbreak and also unlock their iPhone to update their iPhone with a pre-jailbroken iOS 4.3.1 while preserving the baseband from getting upgraded so that it can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.
This guide will provide iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS users with step-by-step instructions to update and jailbreak their iPhone with iOS 4.3.1.

okay selling your iphone 4 was a big mistake cuz its the only smartphone that can be jailbroken and what does jailbreak mean?it means your not in jail like all the other smartphones right now so why is apple more fun then all the rest let me educate you apple has about 500,00O and android has 100,000 so what does this mean more entertainment which means more fun my buddy has an android phone and he saids to me why dont i have all those games like badcompany,splinter cell,mortal kombat,dead space,and nba jam,i could on and on and i said cuz you dont have an iphone now android maybe the future but we arent in the future we are in the present

Hi guys, Just went through the steps (iPhone $G16Gb with bb 1.59.00, but get an '21' error message from iTunes when I am in your step 21/2, after entering 'alt' + 'restore'. Any ideas? Before I started this procedure I started an clean instructuion on the ipHone itself. Can that be the problem? And how do I fix this?

My cousins older brothers roommates sisters boyfriend told me that they went to highschool with muscle nerd. They told me that he told their uncle's wife that the new unlock is coming out soon. They also told me that the iphone 6 is in production and it will be a transformer and a helicopter.

Hey man, this is legit info, why would you question it? It's on the internet right? The iphone 6 will come out before the iphone 5, it will also come with a time machine so you can go ahead and get the iphone 5 if you want. Trust me... and the internet

could you give me the linke .. as far google is concerned no Iphone 6 :) only iphone 5 is in near future and until then no unlock for iphone 4 newer baseband :) get the facts right :)

Also Iphone 6 will come in 2012 not this year :) so according to you unlock for iphone 4 will come in 2012 :)

Cydia crashes after any update past 4.1. No matter what I've tried, it won't open after a Pwnage update. Just test 4.3.1 and it tried to open that immediately closes. I'm on the one baseband that allows the unlock. 10.59.00 or whatever it is. Has anyone figured it out?

UPDATED Cydia crashes after any update past 4.1. Tried 4.2.1 and it still won't open. Just tested 4.3.1 with latest pwnage tool and cydia immediately closes upon attempting to open it. I’m on the one baseband that allows the unlock. 01.59.00 or whatever it is. Has anyone figured it out? Also, you guys need to update the guides to show that there is an error after you've updated when trying to attempt a second custom_restore restore. you need to use redsn0w to get the DFU to work and itunes to allow a second 4.3.1 attempt. error 1600 comes up.

My 3GS is on 3.1.2 and jailbroken, will I have to do anything different to upgrade to 4.3.1 and jailbreak?

You need to get the facts straight man. Google doesn't even know about it yet because it from the future. I would send you a link but computer is broke and I can't use the internet. If you are interested, the ipad 3 is coming out soon too. It will have xray vision too so you can see through metal. Maybe you should do a little more research about wormholes and time travel before you go posting crazy things on these "news" sites.I also heard, from my teachers best friends cousin, who works in my local pet shop that the iphone 6 may already be out, you should spend some more time on google, it's probably not on the first few pages because it a secret. Google doesn't put secrets on the first few pages.

Please help.I upgraded my 3GS from 3.1.3 using the excellent directions in this post, preserved the baseband, and everything looks fine except now the phone won't recognize my China Mobile SIM card (I brought my American iPhone with me to China).I'm assuming I need to unlock again but can't get Cydia or anything else up as I have no service. I'm open to suggestions.TY

cydia CRASHES here as well!!! iphone 4, ios 4.3.1 jailbreak. cydia crashes (opens for a second then closes). so can't install ultrasnow to fix the signal issue.
