Analyst: iPhone 5 Launch May Slip To Year End Or Early Next Year; Apple Working On Cheaper iPhone
Business Insider has just reported that according to an analyst at Avian Securities, iPhone 5 production will start only in September.
According to the analyst, iPhone 5 won’t be available until the end of this year or even early next year. He also claims that Apple is developing a cheaper iPhone.
The analyst has published the report based on information from key component suppliers. He writes:

Its only been a year since iPhone 4 was launched. Apple has to milk that cow a while longer. Besides... We haven't seen the white iPhone yet. That's a whole different gold mine for apple.

also... im pretty sure apple isnt dumb enough to unveil iOS 5 and its features to only release it in a phone 4-6 months later... which would give android and competitors 3-5 months jump on apple... please!

If Apple wants people to take up the new iPhone 5 it needs to release the iOS5 BEFORE is announces the phone so developers can update their apps.IF Apple delays past September they risk loosing people who's plans expire end of year, if they delay it to christmas the sales of the iPhone would be hindered by the christmas crowds.Also you need to take into account the manufacture of the iPhone and shipping them from china (3months at best) AND the issues with japans manufacturing components (japan makes 80-90% of a silicon glue used in all electronics)I would bet $5 on them announcing it in june/july, avail in september

seriously, I don't get these guys. They are wrong more than half the time....honestly I wonder how they keep their jobs. Tech analysis is like a horse race...somebody gets lucky. This avian securities analyst has no idea wtf is he talking about given Apple's rather timely release frames.
