Concept: iOS Notification System [Video]
We really hope Apple improves the notification system for iOS in iOS 5, which has been maligned for being intrusive and modal.
We’ve seen jailbreak apps like MobileNotifier, which is inspired by Android’s notification system that have tried to improve it.
Folks at 9to5Mac point us to a cool concept for iPhone’s notification system created by designer Andreas Hellqvist using the existing graphical resources of iOS.

scary part is thats probably what apple will come up with and i liked it, was pretty cool an app that handles all of that, a quickreply from lockscreen or call from the lockscreen very cydia JB like.

Cool concept, hope to see a Jailbrake app that does this soon...Also I live the way Android handles notifications, they are shown on the status bar and when the user click on it, the status bar drops down and shows more details about the notifications, why not do this on the iphone as well???

Brilliant!! I hopevApple does this. Can't 9to5Mac submit it as an app themselves? Or would it need to be built into IOS 5? whatever the case I sure hope to see it soon

Horibble!!! Notifications can't be about more clicking and additional app! If Apple make some notification management on iPhone, it's gonna be with multi-touch gestures and smooth look. This is not.

Absolutely freaking awesome. You should work for Apple! THat is exactly what is needed. Some controls over what sounds/vibration get made for each notification type would be great too.
