Apple To Start Production Of iPhone 5 In Q3; To Feature 8-Megapixel Camera, Dual-Mode GSM-CDMA Qualcomm Chip
PCWorld reports that according FBR Capital Markets – a financial analyst firm, Apple will start manufacturing iPhone 5 in the third quarter, indicating that it will be launched later this year instead of unveiling it at next month’s WWDC 2011.They’re also claiming that the next generation iPhone will feature a 8-megapixel camera and baseband chip from Qualcomm that will work on both GSM and CDMA networks.PCWorld reports:The iPhone 5 will include an 8-megapixel camera and a single baseband chip that will work on both GSM and CDMA networks, FBR Capital Markets said in a research note, citing information from industry contacts.

Ive always been an apple fan but I won't bother with the iPhone 4s and probably get a Samsung Galaxy S2 then get the iPhone 5 when Apple do a redesign and not a lightweight upgrade to what the iPhone 4 should have been in the first place! Getting tired of Apples marketing ploy of first gen and second gen of the same device. I'm glad I didn't get an iPad either!

the competitor's hardware4G, NFC, 1.2~1.5GHz Dual Core, 1GB RAMsimilar camera and display, lighter, bigger screen, thiner....hmm, and, they are avaliable now and soon.

Waiting for the new phone. My old iphone had one too many drops and wont work properly. I bought a Samsung Galaxy in Febuary to use and see if they are OK. I put a thick rubbery case on it to protect against drops. I really dont like it in comparision to the iphone after 3 months of usage. I found it a backward step from my broke iphone. It will be given to my daughter as soon as the new iphone becomes available as she likes it. Each to their own I guess.
